From Stephanie and Matt
After living in New Jersey and California, the Mells have finally come back home. Matthew, who grew up in Scottsboro, AL, opened ChurchStreet Wine Shoppe with wife Stephanie in September 2014.
Since then, the Shoppe has been featured in numerous magazines including Event Magazine, Downtown Living, 256 Magazine, Just for Women, and Inside Huntsville; has showcased wines from all over the world at local festivals, and has created a highly sought-after wine club.
ChurchStreet Wine Bar & Bottle Shop has become a community staple with its frequent wine tasting events, visiting winemakers, and commitment to helping charitable causes. ChurchStreet Wine Bar & Bottle Shop boasts an inventory of over 1,000 wines from every corner of the globe, including brands you can’t get anywhere else in the state of Alabama.
Since then the Mells have created the ChurchStreet Family, opening numerous other restaurants and bars, including Mazzara’s Vinoteca which is located in the historic Humphrey’-Rodgers House in downtown Huntsville, the newly opened ChurchStreet Wine Bar & Bottle Shop in Providence, and the upcoming Famous Eleanors.
